Timeout Handling Control

Do your site forms behave strangely when they timeout?

Your user worked diligently to put all requested data to your form. Maybe It took them longer than expected to complete. Perhaps they had to retrieve some data. Were they distracted by a phone call?

Finally they click the submit button, just to see that all their work has been wasted. Frustratingly they have to start again. Isn’t it a sad story?

Now there is an easy way to warn the user before the page times out and give them enough time to handle the situation.  Just add the TimeoutHandlingCtrl.dll to your bin folder to fix the timeout issue.

Publisher’s Description

From BSP Software:The Timeout Handling Control can handle both the ASP.NET session timeout and the ASP.NET forms authentication timeout. It can be used on individual pages or it can be added to the master page to handle the timeout situation on all content pages. Both the warning that the page will expire soon and the explanation on the page that had expired are independent, highly configurable and can be individually styled.

The Timeout Handling Control is Ajax compatible although it does not require Ajax enabled Web site. The warning includes a countdown indicator that changes every second. Version 1.53 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
